Running on behalf of Pine Street Inn helps change the lives of our city’s most vulnerable neighbors. Since 2004, Pine Street Inn has cheered on more than 130 marathon runners, who have raised funds to help us provide short-term and long-term solutions to homelessness in Boston.

Pine Street Inn 2025 Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program Application Form

Thank you very much for expressing interest in joining the 2025 Pine Street Inn Boston Marathon Team! Pine Street Inn is the leading and largest nonprofit provider of resources for people who are currently or formerly homeless in New England. Funds raised from the 2025 Boston Marathon Team will support our programs and resources that serve more than 6,000 individuals each year with basic human needs and housing-based solutions to ending homelessness.

As an Official Charity of the 2025 Bank of America Boston Marathon, Pine Street Inn has received a limited number of guaranteed entries, or “bibs.” We are seeking dedicated runners for our team who have previous experience running and raising funds for charitable causes and who are passionate about our mission and impact. Runners interested in participating on behalf of Pine Street Inn are expected to complete the Boston Marathon (26.2 miles) within 6 hours. Each runner is also asked to commit to raising $10,000 towards our team’s goal.

Please submit your application no later than December 16th, 2024. We will notify selected runners on a rolling basis by January 3rd, 2025.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

Because of the limited number of participants allowed onto the team, it is important that the applicant clearly understand the guidelines and is committed to this philanthropic agreement. Upon acceptance as a member of the team, you are committing to the following:

• You agree to raise at least $10,000 to support Pine Street Inn prior to the May 16th, 2025 deadline

• You agree to manage your fundraising efforts by using the online fundraising platform GivenGain.com, for which you will receive assistance from Pine Street staff. Offline donations can be made payable to Pine Street Inn and will be uploaded to your GivenGain.com fundraising page;

• You agree you are solely responsible for raising or personally donating the entire fundraising minimum even if for any reason, including injury, you are unable to run the 2025 Boston Marathon;

• You agree to complete the Boston Marathon registration by February 7th, 2025 and covering the $375 registration fee;

• You agree you will not hold Pine Street Inn responsible for any injury or death related to training for, or participating in the 2025 Boston Marathon as part of the Pine Street Inn Team;

• You agree you will not reproduce or transfer your bib/number to another individual; and

• You agree you will not begin the 2025 Boston Marathon prior to the official start time nor behave in a manner which, in judgement of the race officials, interferes with race operations or other runners.

I have read the above guidelines and I hereby guarantee that I will raise a minimum of US $10,000 for Pine Street Inn’s Boston Marathon Team. Should I be unable to meet this goal for any reason, my signature below indicates that Pine Street Inn has my permission to charge the remaining balance to my credit card number, which I will provide upon acceptance to the team.
