Workforce Development

Pine Street Inn operates job training programs in the food services and hospitality industries: the iCater Job Training Program and the Housekeeping Transitional Employment Program.

Each year, Pine Street Inn enrolls 140+ people in these workforce development programs where they learn vocational and professional skills that prepare them for stable, gainful and meaningful employment as they move toward self-sufficiency.

Dedicated staff provide individualized support, helping trainees to remove barriers to employment including transportation, housing, behavioral skills and more.

Employers who have recently hired trainees include Marriott Hotels, Whole Foods Markets, Hebrew SeniorLife, Mount Auburn Hospital, SnapChef, Boston Medical Center, the United States Postal Service, Hard Rock Café and more. We are immensely grateful to these organizations who provide career opportunities for our trainees.

iCater

iCater prepares over 100 individuals annually for employment in the food services industry.
